How to get this
How MTN Business Transport and Logistics Solution works
| Loading of vehicle |
- Create an electronic workflow and mobilise it; i.e. associate a package/delivery with a vehicle which in turn is on a route which is then linked to a driver
- This could be linked to a current ERP system irrespective of the software application used
- The driver can see on a handheld device what his tasks are
- The system notifies the customer’s clients that their delivery is loaded and on its way
|
| Tracking and managing vehicle en route |
- Moment-by-moment live Geo-map view
- Online visibility of all vehicles
- Receive notifications if a vehicle has diverted from its route
- Receive a notification when a vehicle has stopped (i.e. not at a scheduled destination)
- Monitor fuel consumption, speed, service intervals and mileage and create reports for each vehicle
|
| Scheduled deliveries |
- The driver can call up the delivery schedule, and a GPS stamp will be taken when he selects that the delivery has been made
- The customer can then sign electronically (with sign-on-screen technology) for the delivery, which is captured in the back-end automatically
|
| Unscheduled deliveries or pick-ups |
- Notify drivers to make unscheduled collections or deliveries according to a new job loaded onto the ERP system (taking account of safety measures)
- Obtain electronic proof of delivery/collection, which changes the task list automatically through updating the back-end system
- The handheld device is also updated
|
| Real-time information and reports |
- The business owner can view all vehicles online and can pull usage reports as and when needed
- Can also set up weekly/monthly report templates
- Can also determine profitability of vehicles and drivers
