Premium Rated Services (Campaigns/Competition).

This premium-rated campaign service flexiblyadapts to the nature of the business case. Customers may link a campaign to a short code or keyword associated with a certain short code.

Shared revenue between MTN Messaging Solutions and the customer is dependent on the SMS tariff used and differs between network operators.

Subscription  Services.

This service allows companies the facility to provide a subscription-based, premium-rated SMS service to customers who wish to subscribe to services enabling periodic downloads of content for the duration of the subscription period. This service offers a more flexible billing method than standard campaigns.

Y’elloSMS.

Y’elloSMS runs on its own platform and is aimed at small- to medium-users of bulk messaging as well as customers interested in quick turnaround times when setting up campaigns. It consists of two modules:

Bulk Messaging Module:

• This pre- or postpaid function allows you to send SMSs to different groups of customers and receive replies. Customers can set up and manage SMS groups according to requirements.

Self-provisioning Campaign Module:

• Y’elloSMS consists of a self-managed keyword-based premium-rated campaign function which is linked to pre-allocated short codes and is recommended for users with straightforward campaign requirements.
• Campaigns can be created almost immediately.
• The revenue to be shared by MTN Messaging Solutions with the customer is dependent on the SMS tariff used and differs between the network operators.

International Premium Rated Services.

MTN Messaging Solutions offers a service that allows you to run premium-rated SMS services in certain countries and for certain networks in Africa and the Middle East.

The revenue to be shared by MTN Messaging Solutions with the customer is dependent on the SMS tariff used and differs between the network operators. Additional access fees are applicable.

MMS.

This bulk messaging service allows our customers to send and receive large volumes of MMSs to and from opt-in customer bases. Some premium-rated services can also be provided.

USSD.

MTN Messaging Solutions offers a USSD service whereby strings from the two GSM networks currently offering VAS (MTN and Vodacom) are used by the customer. Premium-rated services are provided for MTN subscribers.

LBS.

MTN Messaging Solutions has LBS connectivity to the two GSM network operators offering LBS as a WASP service (MTN and Vodacom). We also offer an LBS service whereby Point of Interest (POI) data is sourced and linked to mapping information which is provided to subscribers.

IVR.

Based on a standard revenue share model, the revenue to be shared by MTN Messaging Solutions with  the customer (linked to the standard call tariff ) is  based on a per-minute charge and therefore dependent  on the time of the call. Revenue is shared on the call tariff for MTN subscribers and on interconnect charges between the applicable operators for non-MTN subscribers. A premium rated service can also be offered for MTN and VC subscribers.
