As an MTN Contract or PayAsYouGo customer, you can purchase or transfer airtime for any MTN PayAsYouGo, MyChoice TopUp, Anytime TopUp or Off Peak TopUp customer. There is no activation or subscription fee, and it is the ideal way to stay in touch with family and friends.

You can transfer airtime from your MTN PayAsYouGo account to any other MTN PayAsYouGo, MyChoice TopUp, Anytime TopUp or Off Peak TopUp customer. The value of the airtime transferred, as well as the transaction cost of 50c, will be deducted from your MTN PayAsYouGo airtime account.
Any amount from R30 and above (in increments of R1) can be transferred (R31, R32,…)
If there are funds available in your airtime expiry wallet then the transaction cost of 50c will be deducted from your expiry wallet thereby allowing you to transfer more airtime.
You will receive an SMS once the transfer has been completed to advise you of the details of the transaction and your remaining airtime balances.
In order to provide you with additional security for the service, you will need to obtain a PIN (Personal Identification Number) in order to perform Me2U transfers. To obtain a PIN you have to dial 141 and then select the ME2U option. You will be asked to enter a 5 digit PIN number.
There is a transfer limit of R200 per day and R500 per month. This applies to the sender and the recipient of the Me2U transfer.
You can purchase airtime for any MTN PayAsYouGo, MyChoice TopUp, Anytime TopUp or Off Peak TopUp customer from your contract account.
You will need to contact your Service Provider to register for the service to access Me2U.
You will be able to choose one of three airtime options as listed below:

The Me2U airtime option selected will be your Me2U transfer limit that you will not be able to exceed per month.
You will receive an SMS once the transfer has been completed to advise you of the details of the transaction and the amount of your Me2U limit still available.
Once you have registered for access to ME2U with your respective Service Provider, you will receive a PIN and can start doing ME2U transfers. You can also request a PIN by dialing 141 and giving your MSISDN.
The value you transfer and the transaction cost of 50c will never deplete any of your bundles (minutes, SMS or value) and will be charged over and above your subscription
In addition, there is a daily transfer limit of R200.
Link Beneficiaries
You can link up to five MTN PayAsYouGo, MyChoice TopUp, Anytime TopUp or Off Peak TopUp numbers as beneficiaries to your cellphone number. Once you have linked beneficiaries to your cellphone number, you only need to select the beneficiary cellphone number instead of entering the beneficiary cellphone number every time you wish to transfer airtime when using 141. To set up your beneficiaries, dial 141 from your MTN cellphone. The beneficiary functionality is not available when transferring using the *141*6328* instant transfer option.
Your Security – PIN
In order to provide you with additional security for the service, you will need to obtain a PIN in order to perform Me2U transfers. To obtain a ME2U Pin you have to dial 141 and then select the ME2U option. You will be asked to enter a 5 digit pin number which will be your PIN.
You will only be able to transfer airtime if a valid PIN is entered when dialling 141 or *141*6328* transfer options
You can set up a PIN by dialling 141.
If you enter the incorrect PIN when doing a ME2U transfer you will be asked to reset your PIN by dialling 141 and selecting option 1. You will need to wait up to 48 hours in order to receive a new PIN.
MTN PayAsYouGo, MyChoice TopUp, Anytime TopUp and Off Peak TopUp customers are allowed to send one free airtime request per day to their airtime sponsor. Dial *141*6328*(your sponsor’s MTN cellphone number)# to request airtime.
General Rules of Me2U transfer
No airtime transfer reversals can be made or airtime credits passed if you enter the incorrect amount or cellphone number that you are transferring to.
Roaming
The Me2U service is not available to MTN Roaming customers who want to send or receive Me2U transfers.
