VoiceMail Xpress is a new voice messaging service from MTN that will make your life even easier: if you can't be reached or can't take a call, VoiceMail Xpress allows callers to choose whether to leave you a voice message or send you an SMS message.

VoiceMail Xpress has two distinct features when your cellphone is switched off, busy or unanswered, callers will hear your chosen voice greeting and will be prompted to do either of the following:

Send an SMS message to you with their cellphone number (or an alternative number) notifying you of their call. The message will include the date and time of their call and will request that you call them back.  Leave a voice message. An SMS message will then automatically be sent to you notifying you of a new voice message; you will need to dial 100 from your cellphone to listen to the voice message.

To protect your voice messages, VoiceMail Xpress only allows you to listen to your messages using your personal cellphone.

Other important features include:

Personal Greeting Individualise your cellphone with this feature and greet callers with your own personalised mailbox greeting. This greeting can be anything you want it to be: all you need to do is record it. Name Greeting This feature allows you to record your name as a greeting. This means callers can quickly leave you a voice message; all you have to do is record your name as the greeting. Number Greeting If you don’t want to leave any greetings but still want to ensure that callers have the right number before they leave you a voice message, then this is the option for you. The caller will be greeted with just your cellphone number.

You will be able to select which greeting – Personal, Name or Number - you’d like to use when you dial 100 to use VoiceMail Xpress for the first time.

VoiceMail Xpress is a free service only available to MTN Pay as you Go customers.
