International Unbarring 
  • The subscriber has to make a written request 5 days prior to departure by completing an International Roaming/Unbarring form. Unfortunately, telephonic requests cannot be considered
  • All Unbarring will be effected within 24 hours from the signed request being received unless there is system downtime or a deposit is required
  • All Unbarring is permanent. Unbarring remains permanent until a SIM swop is done or the phone is suspended or deactivated
  • If applying for International Roaming for the first time, a R500.00 security deposit is required. This deposit will only be refundable 3 months from deactivation of the International Roaming or Unbarring service
  • In the case of a suspension or a SIM swap on a previously unbarred number, international facilities will not automatically be added when the SIM is re-activated. In order to reinstate the International Roaming service the subscriber will have to re-apply in writing. In cases of suspension the customer will have to re-apply. In the case of a SIM swap the International Roaming department must be notified as the roaming facility is not automatically loaded on the new SIM card
  • MTN Service Provider deals only with the unbarring of MTN Service Provider and its associated Service Providers MSISDN’s (cell number
  • Month to Month contracts as well as PAYG customers do not qualify for International Roaming
  • After the normal 24 month contract has expired, 3 months termination notice period applies on all lines with International Roaming
